SONDO, a tool to get students back into reading

 

In 2025, MOBiDYS conducted a new impact assessment of its SONDO digital library among 70 subscribing teachers (librarians, language arts teachers, and teachers specializing in special education). A highly acclaimed educational resource

 

Among the teachers surveyed, 88% consider SONDO to be “valuable” or “essential” in their practice. For many, SONDO has established itself as a key resource for facilitating access to reading, restoring students’ confidence, and even reviving their enjoyment of reading:

94% of teachers observe at least one positive impact on their teaching methods, particularly thanks to:

80% of teachers have noticed a positive change in their students’ attitude toward reading. SONDO enables a more fluid and inclusive approach: less apprehension about texts, more enjoyment and desire to read, more spontaneous reading, and greater involvement in classroom activities.

It should also be noted that 40% of teachers observe a positive impact on paper reading, proving that digital technology can be a springboard to reading in all its forms.
